Dryrod® damp-proofing rods are patented 12mm diameter grooved rods that carry a powerful water repellent material. They are simply inserted into 12mm holes in the mortar lines of a building.
Once they are inserted, the rods will start to dry out the wall, the carrier rods slowly diffuse water repellent deep into the damp masonry, curing to form a powerful barrier to further damp ingress.
Dryrod® provides numerous advantages over other treatment methods.Learn how Dryrod® compares
Dryrod® represents Safeguard Europes latest development in Rising Damp treatment.
Dryrod® provides a highly effective damp-proof course even in saturated walls. This results in salts in the wall being less mobile and therefore less able to migrate further into the plaster. For this reason the use of Dryrod® allows more original plasterwork to be retained than would otherwise be the case.

The development of Dryrod® was carried out through 3 years of intensive research and laboratory testing by Safeguard Europe. Scientific test data confirms that Dryrod® is the most effective rising damp-treatment available.
Independent testing has also been carried out by both the University of Portsmouth and the BBA, both of which agreed with our findings. As a result, Dryrod® Damp-Proofing Rods are fully BBA certified.Learn about development
